Azienda Agricola Valente
Azienda Agricola Valente is a family-run business with deep roots in the farming traditions of Emilia, a region in northern Italy, and a strong commitment to innovation.
Founded 45 years ago by Gaetano and his two brothers, Mario and Enrico, the farm is now managed by a dedicated family team: Gaetano; his three sons, Roberto, Guido, and Luca; his cousins Andrea and Francesco; and Alice, Andrea’s daughter. Manuel, Roberto’s son, will join the farm as soon as he finishes his studies. Three generations work side by side, united by their love for the land and care for the animals.
The farm includes three barns and cultivates around 600 to 700 biolche (a local unit of land) using crop rotation. This approach helps maintain healthy soil, improves crop quality, and supports sustainable agriculture.
Modern technology plays a key role in improving efficiency and animal welfare. Milking robots are used to milk the cows gently and precisely, ensuring their comfort. Calves are housed in dedicated pens where they are safe and well cared for. GPS systems and a special robot deliver hay closer to the cows, making feeding easier. Advanced tools monitor the cows’ health and fertility to ensure optimal care.
“Working with Parmigiano Reggiano is a great source of pride for us. Making this cheese, a symbol of Italian food heritage, requires dedication and hard work—but it is incredibly rewarding.”
Every day, the Valente family is committed to producing milk of the highest quality for Parmigiano Reggiano. This exceptional product demands care, passion, and dedication.
Azienda Agricola Valente is more than just a farm: it is a testament to how tradition and innovation can work together to produce high-quality, sustainable products while respecting animal welfare. Thanks to the hard work of the entire family, the farm continues to thrive—rooted in its land and traditions, yet always looking ahead.
