Azienda Agricola De Pietri Andrea
Azienda Agricola De Pietri has ancient roots: started in the early 1900s by Andrea’s great-grandfather, today it is the third generation to guide the farm. Andrea and his grandfather Osvaldo take care of the 60 head of cattle, 32 of which are lactating, and of the 50 hectares of land planted with wheat.
“What I like about this job is the possibility of running it independently, I have no constraints of any kind but I had to learn to run the farm on my own. For me it was essential to carry on the family business, it takes a lot of passion to do this job.”
To ensure animal welfare, rubber mats were introduced in the stalls and the animals are kept untied as much as possible.
In a truly distinctive landscape, the farm, is located within the ancient medieval village of Croveglia, dating back to the 15th century.
The De Pietri family has lived in the hamlet for generations, taking care and preserving this treasure in the heart of the Apennines for centuries.
