Azienda Agricola Coliolla di Tosi
Gianluca Tosi, owner of Azienda Agricola Colliola, together with his employees, manages the farm founded in the 1970s by his father and uncle. Today he owns 147 Friesian cattles, 69 of which are milked and used for the production of Parmigiano Reggiano at the Cigarello and Canossa Dairies. All the farm’s land is planted with hay and fresh fodder and used to feed the cows.
Animal welfare is at the heart of all modernization projects in recent years, from rubber mats to larger drinking troughs and the creation of a free area dedicated to dry cattle.
“My favorite aspect of my work is the contact with nature and especially with animals, combined with the opportunity to carry on my business independently. The results I have achieved over the years, increasing the quantity and quality of milk, testify to the fact that my animals are doing well and repay me for all my efforts. My other great passion? Rally competitions with my Skoda Fabia R5, in recent years I have also earned a few podiums, unsurprisingly my nickname is the flying farmer!”
